Expansion and the Future
Founded in 1990, Valley Precision Inc. has expanded its operations many times to meet increasing demand for manufactured components. Valley Precision currently occupies 30,000 square feet of modern manufacturing space in Waynesboro, Virginia. Conveniently located near the intersection of Virginia’s highways I81 and I64, Valley Precision employs highly-skilled people with experience using a broad range of manufacturing processes and materials.
Knowledge of our Expert Staff
Valley Precision’s employees have the knowledge and skills to manufacture precision components quickly and efficiently. Mechanical Designers and Estimators send and receive electronic files in Creo, Autocad, and SolidWorks formats and in other formats commonly used in mechanical design. Production supervisors and Manufacturing Engineers use the ERP software ECI Job Boss for exchange of production information of production information to communicate customer requirements to the production team.
Experienced Programmers
Programmers use recently released software packages to quickly generate program code for CNC controlled turret presses and machining centers. Laser cutting of sheet metal in a wide variety of materials is available for prototyping and materials which are too thick to be punched on the turret presses. Brush finishing and deburring is available with our Finish Line sanding machine, and forming is done by LVD and Wysong Press Brakes.
Quality Engineering
Systems specialists are available for purchase order, scheduling, invoicing, and payment transactions. Deliveries to your plant can be labeled with bar codes in the format your systems require. Quality Engineering and experienced Process Inspectors use a well documented quality system which conforms with the requirements of MIL-I-45208 and ISO9001:2015 to assure reliable quality parts. Valley Precision is a custom manufacturer of sheet metal enclosures and machined parts. We make parts for the electronics industry, as well as the medical equipment industry, and military subcontractors. We have 46 full time employees with Engineers on staff to quote any precision custom fabrication or machined items you may need.

Company Launch
Founded in 1990, Valley Precision Inc. has established itself as a premier provider of precision machining services. With over three decades of experience in the industry, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
Regional Growth
We expanded our operations three times to meet increasing demand for manufactured components. Valley Precision serves customers on the East Coast of the United States, and begins international shipping.
Valley Precision founders retire
The founders of Valley Precision retired, and sold the business to Dan Drumheller and Walter Carter. Together they improved the business and steadily grew the revenue and customer base for 16 years.
Beginning of revitalization
Business ownership consolidated to one owner, Dan Drumheller. The business established a mission for continuous improvement and growth. Additional Engineers were hired, and Quality Control methodology enhanced with new employees and inspection equipment. Laser cutting was added to our in-house capabilities. Systematic replacement of all major machinery and additional capabilities were added including Fiber Laser cutting, Laser Etching, Silkscreening, Robotic Welding and Chemical weld cleaning.
Pandemic Investment Strategy
During the pandemic, Valley Precision strategically invested in equipment, while maintaining steady revenue levels. The investments and improvements during the economic downturn of the pandemic. Every major production area was improved, and new equipment added in every area.
Staged for a Rebound
With the vastly increased capacity, new employees, and new equipment in place, Valley Precision was prepared when customers began ordering parts to replenish depleted inventories and build safety stock for possible future supply disruptions.
New Customers Arrive
New customers began contacting Valley Precision to take advantage of the increased production capacity and increased quality of their custom manufactured items.
Steady Growth Continues
Sustainability and Expansion continues with added baking ovens, Robotic Welding and more CNC equipment including an automated bandsaw, HAAS CNC milling machines, Bridgeport milling machines, Pemserter 4000, and a new 6' shear.
