VIDEO of Super-fast punching on the Strippitt 1250H
Today, we punched at full speed on .048 galvanized steel material. The punches per minute are probably 300-500. It’s such a nice sound to hear. The video is a bit loud, but it’s a good visualization of why punching sheet metal can be significantly faster than laser cutting for rectilinear shapes. (Circles, rectangles, squares, etc…) Punching is great for perforated patterns, blanking, and forms such as louvers, tabs, countersinks, and bridges. Thanks for watching!
